An October Occasion...

Kia ora koutou

The kids started back at school and kindergarten last week woohoo! :)  I started my new part-time job - it is fantastic, my employer's are lovely, I am going to do my best and hope they keep me on for a long time. I also started back at my Monday Card Class, how I missed the ladies - thank you Linda for teaching your wonderful cards over the school holidays.

Monday Card Class...

Romantic Vintage

This card is dedicated to nana <3

I wanted to show the ladies how fantastically resourceful the 6.5" x 6.5" pads are - full of beautiful card you can use to decorate, layer, and embellish your creative projects.  Some pads have the additional die-cut labels and borders BONUS!, quick and easy ready-to-make cards :)
The focal point of this card is the red flower - I sponged and stamped the ink colour 'Real Red' around the edges, connecting the focal point to the rest of the card.  For the inside of the card, I fussy-cut some flowers that are also featuring on the front of the card - so when you open the card it is all tied together and you are reminded of the prettiness on the front.

Stamps - Charming, Happy Greetings
Ink - Real Red
Card - French Vanilla Bazil, Kaisercraft: Needle and Thread 6.5" x 6.5" pad ( a few pages)
Accessories - Little Leaves Sizzlit, Butterfly Wings Embosslit, Lacy Border Punch, Scalloped Circle Punch, Triple Blossom Bouquet Punch, 5mm Corner Punch, Scissors (for fussy cutting), Hemp thread, Silver Brad, Dimensionals.

Butterfly Window

For this card, we made our own 'designer paper' by randomly stamping the beautiful swirl images and filling in the gaps with a small flower bouquet stamp with black ink on white card...stunning and simple, this technique is also known as 'one-sheet-wonder'; you can make a whole heap of cards using your hand-stamped designer sheet.
The front of the card has a vellum window with a layered butterfly on top, when closed you can see the designer paper through the window :)

Butterfly Easel

...So we had a little extra time, this meant we were able to make a little extra something :)  My talented and beautiful colleague (fellow tutor in The Paper Peacock design team) Maria, taught me how to make this pretty little easel card.  So simple and easy, if you would like instructions - email me; kerianneh@gmail.com or see me at The Paper Peacock :)

Stamps - Large Swirl Stamp (Borrowed from Linda), Charming, Apothecary Art
Ink - Basic Black
Card - Blue Lagoon Bazil, White Bazil, Vellum (opaque white)
